About Zoe Gilby Quartet, featuring Noel Dennis (HF 2022)

Co-sponsored by Ashwood Promotions

Parliamentary Jazz Awards female singer of the year 2019, Zoe Gilby returns to the Harwich Festival to showcase songs from her latest CD Aurora, which features Zoe’s own colourful lyrics set to the music of American trumpeter Tom Harrell. She will be accompanied as ever by husband Andy Champion on double bass and Mark Williams on guitar, plus Noel Dennis taking the role of Harrell. Zoe’s eclectic inspirations range from Carmen Macrae and Sheila Jordan to Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell, from Thelonius Monk and Jon Hendricks to Nick Cave and Pink Floyd. Expect standards from those artistes to pepper her wide-ranging set.
