Statement from Indy:

'I think many people avoid life drawing as they feel they don’t have the skills to accurately draw the human body, but to me that doesn’t matter.

Life drawing encourages us to be still in our mind and present in that very moment, recording what we see in front of us - it doesn’t matter how accurately you draw the models body, it’s about enjoying the drawing process in an inclusive and peaceful environment.'

The session will take place in two parts:

Part one:

You will be drawing from a life model with a series of poses and guided drawing prompts thoughout. Paper, charcoal and pencils provided. 

Break

Part two:

An opportunity to add colour and texture to your life drawings. We'll be working with a range of different materials. 

The event will begin promptly at 7pm, please arrive for 6.45pm to get yourself a drink and a seat.

Drinks are available to purchase from the Edinburgh Castle Bar.
