About Self Massage for Optimal Health

Come learn self massage, a core practice for wellness according to the ancient Indian health tradition of Ayurveda - one which has many benefits, several that have been backed by medical studies. Self massage was one of the practices yogis deemed essential thousands of years ago, in an era of less distraction and pollution, so imagine how important it is now!
Affordable and empowering, self massage cultivates greater coherence in the layers of one's self at a time when many of us are disconnected with parts of ourselves and suffering the consequences of overstimulation. Just as with any other health-related practice, it’s what we can do regularly that has the greatest impact, and it is definitely feasible to do self massage regularly.
At this event, you’ll learn:
-how and why to do it (and when not to do it)
-nuances about variations in self massage good for your body type
And you’ll get an opportunity to try out a mini-version on yourself! (No stripping required :) )
Although we will focus on our hands and feet in the practical part of the workshop, it’s recommended to wear appropriate clothes and to bring an old towel because we will be using oil. You may also wish to bring a notebook and pen to jot down some notes.
