About Film: Kennington Noir presents Suddenly (1954) on 35mm film
Suddenly (1954), directed by Lewis Allen, and starring Frank Sinatra, Sterling Hayden and Nancy Gates.
Frank Sinatra plays John Baron, the head of a gang of assassins, who arrive in the town of Suddenly, where the President of the United States is due to make a stop. They take over a house overlooking the station, capturing a policeman (Sterling Hayden) and terrorising the family living there.
Sinatra asked United Artists to withdraw Suddenly from circulation because he heard the rumour that Lee Harvey Oswald had seen it before shooting President Kennedy.
