About The Big Faces & Friends / Rooftop Rave /Freaky Behaviour / Andy Kinky / Jakki D

We are absolutely thrilled to announce our second 'Hidden' Rooftop Rave of the Summer

Another incredible line up.

Not only do we regularily play tunes from this duo, the artwork for the events are also done by one half of the duo, so on a plethora of levels, its a no brainer that we have these headline.

Freaky Behaviour / Odour Recordings
For anyone who doesnt know of this power house duo, eres a bit about them.
'DJs and producers JoBu & Mark (Crumbs) Crummay
AKA Freaky Behaviour and owners of Record label Odour Recordings hail from the north of England, both now based in Leeds. Both DJs being promoters in their own right, had been Working DJing and promoting nights in the UK, Spain, and Copenhagen. A thirst for underground music from Hip Hop, and funk, to Breaks and House. and a need to showcase it, has led us to be able to work with some of the world's finest DJs and producers... and always love to learn and be wowed by others!
The Clubbing and music scene has brought them together with Their closest friends and the professionals they admire, proud to be part of this underground culture and they are glad they can contribute.
Musical influences come from far and wide, everything from the deepest shades of House to Techno and everything in between. Freaky Behaviours' sound stems from Chicago House roots and is something that is prevalent throughout most of their productions and DJ sets. "

Joining this pair, thrilled to announce;

Back in 1997 a group of friends from Nottingham with a passion for house music began hosting events called Kinky Movement firstly at the Sky club which later became the Blueprint and also venues such as the legendary The Bomb, Dubble Bubble and The Edge.
After many years of Dj’ing and promoting Kinky Movement members Andrew Mcloughlin, Lee Eden and John Symms took the natural progression into music production. Their first release came out in 2004 on Tango records, since then they have gone on to work with over 50 labels and released over 300  tracks and remixes on labels such as Salted Music, Large Music, Swing city, Drop music,King Street, Jalapeño, Erase.
On the back of their very impressive discography they have been booked to play in over 20 different countries such as Australia, US,New Zealand,Russia,South Africa,Bulgaria,Belgium, Georgia, Ukraine.
The trio have had their music licensed to Armada music and Hed Khandi compilations and have also had their music featured on Radio 1 extra presented by Monki.
With this epic background and also from knowing this guy personally, we cant wait to have Andy play at the rooftop rave with us.
Our last guest, almost needs no introduction, but we struggle not singing her praises given half a chance.
Jakki D (Ultrasound) is an absolute power house on a plethora of levels, from organising and hosting many different events over Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, her humility and love for the people, the music, the scene is without a doubt super infectious.
She has inspired us to go forth hosting these special rooftop events. So a million thanks to geeat DJ and  an incredibly special friend.
Here's a little about her journey to where she is now.

From a very young age I grew up listening to diverse music , my mum. Was very much into  anything from Diana Ross and the supremes / chillettes the temptations, walker brothers to elvis - James brown
My dad I remember loving George  Harrison and my uncle was in a band and was Beatles mad , my step Dad was into Heavier sounding Bassy stuff
I guess that’s my influences somewhere in between all of that
My main go to for music is soulful funky 80,s grooves with a heavy Bass line
I got my first set of cdjs 15 years ago and have played at many venues around Lincoln , and more recently played further  a field the sheffeild &!Nottingham underground house scene which has included playing for Smokescreen Gallery sounds ,& camouflaged disco some of the heavy weights of the underground scene , and becoming great freinds with Jodie & coxie of The BiG Faces whom
I love very dearly .

I invested in some turntables not so long after and regularly play my soulful vinyls for Barefoot , and our own vinyl nights in Lincoln at the Birdcage

I’m part of a collective in Lincoln called ULTRASOUND that have been together for 4 years we have some eclectic brilliant  DJs on board , we host regular events aswell as regular radio slots on MHYH
The music generally play is HOuse Disco / soul funk Boogie Low slung with a dirty bassline

And obviously cant miss ourselves off the line up, The Big Faces
