About Henry Normal
As a scriptwriter, editor, TV and film producer, Normal needs no introduction. He was a co-writer of Mrs Merton, The Royle Family and much of Steve Coogan’s early output and, as executive producer helped bring Gavin and Stacey, Nighty Night, Uncle and The Mighty Boosh to the small screen.
Inspired by his autistic son Johnny, Henry has returned to his first love: poetry. Johnny is the subject of a series of shows Normal has written and performed on BBC Radio 4, and of the book, A Normal Life, which he co-authored with his wife, the screenwriter Angela Pell – a frank, funny and deeply affecting account of the difficulties and the privilege of living with someone with special needs.
Join Henry as he brings poetry, jokes, story-telling, philosophy and heart-string tugging to E17 for one night only.
All proceeds from the evening will go to The Limes Community and Children's Centre, for children and young people, with or without disabilities to play, learn, develop and achieve.
