About Instruments of the State: A film night with Tse Tse Fly Middle East
As part of their ‘Instruments of the State’ project, arts and activism non-profit organisation Tse Tse Fly Middle East present a night of films.
Directed by Amir Amirani, the main feature is ‘We Are Many’, the award-winning documentary about the February 2003 global day of protest against the Iraq War. The documentary will follow five short films that respond to themes of oppression and protest, featuring work from Indu Antony (India), D-Fuse (UK), Vishal Kumaraswamy (India), Ifrah Mansour (Somalia) and Sameer Tawde (India).
The night is in support of War On Want and Stop The War, with literature and giveaways available from both organisations. Event is suitable for ages 12 and over.
Founded in the UAE in 2015 and now based in London, Tse Tse Fly Middle East use live events and interventions to highlight human rights and freedom of speech issues.
