About Sewing, repair workshop and swap shop
The Repair Collective is a team of three professionals who specialise in sewing and teaching skills to people of all ages about the impact of textiles on the environment.
In this workshop you will learn techniques to repair, upcycle and mend your clothes. There will also be a clothes swap shop, simply bring some clean, good condition unwanted clothes and swap for free.
Three proffessionals teaching are:
House of Stitch - In this workshop you will learn how to darn and patch clothing by hand.
Cheekyhandmades - Bring along your sewing machine to get advice on how to look after it or how to do minor repairs. Or leave your machine with Jennie for a special price of £40 to repair if it's not possible to fix on the day.
Yoyuu - Learn a few upcycling tecnhiques and make a shopping bag from a pre-loved T shirt on the day.
No sewing experience is necessary. Free for children under the age of 12 if accompanied by an adult.
