About Indigo Dye
An introduction to indigo & Shibori, Itajime, Arashi, & Kumo Japanese resist dyeing techniques which produce beautiful patterns on fabric using natural indigo dye.
In this workshop you will learn a little about the history and magic of indigo and some of the traditional methods of stitched and bound resist dyeing techniques which produce different results.
You will then be able to choose your preferred technique and prepare a piece of dye ready, organic, fairly produced cotton & a 25cm x 30cm drawstring provided in the workshop, and dye your cloth in the indigo dye bath.
All materials are included but you are advised to either wear old clothes or bring an apron
