The Magic of Trees (full price) a year long journey with the trees

A series of seasonal tree days weaving in nature connection, medicine making, folklore, crafts, song & poetry

We are making a year-long series of Sundays at the lush Hackney Tree Nursery & Forest Garden, to bring us into contact with the lore, the wisdom, the medicine, the craft and the magic of our tree communities and their value in our ecologies.

Each day will be a gathering to share knowledge, practical activity and connection with the land, marking a cycle and season of the year, and focusing on a different theme connecting with the season:

(each day runs 10am-4pm with shared lunch)

Sunday 14th July: Introducing Tree Identification, Biology & Ecology

Sunday 15th September: Tree Harvests, Exploring Food & Medicine

Sunday 3rd November: Trees and their Wood, Fire & Craft

Sunday 2nd February: Woodland Management, Coppicing, Crafts

Sunday 3rd May: Tree Blossom, Pollinators and Spring Medicine

Put together by Ida, Ximena & Rasheeqa, these days will mix shared learning, body connection and practices with a range of tree-connected work. We are inviting skilled people in the above fields to bring wisdom to us!
