What do you remember about your home? 

Do you have a picture of your family, dog or favourite place? 

Sometimes you can feel isolated in a new environment and your personal photos can help you to communicate your thoughts, emotions, feelings and memories. 

Laura Martinez (Photographer, Venezuela) made a photo album called Marta after migrating her country, this exercise helped her to get out of the comfort zone in a different country and manage the nostalgic of not being home. Thanks to the support of Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019 and the Make it Local grant she can run another series of workshops to help people to fill that empty spaces with creativity.

She invites you to a two-day workshop where through a series of exercises you will build a personal album with your favourite photos, meet new people and exchange stories. 

The workshop has two sessions. The first day you will learn more about your own photos with some creative exercises. The second day you'll build the photo album.  

The material for the book is included.
