I'm afraid this event has already occurred. Let's not live in the past - find an upcoming event!

This one day workshop is open to anyone interested in singing traditional cradle songs from around the world, or who wishes to experience a deeper relationship between body and voice in a safe, welcoming environment. Nurturing the gentleness of human connection through singing songs and expanding the vocal potentials using different methods of relaxation, breathing and various somatic practices can enrich personal daily routines or professional life, especially for those working in the fields of music, art, performance, counseling, mental health, education, and community work.

Advanced knowledge of singing is not required.

This workshop is suitable for adults only. Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate the needs of children and babies.

This workshop is led by singer-songwriter, anthropologist and a lullaby researcher/teacher Katarina Juvancic (Slovenia) who has more than a decade of experience teaching lullaby workshops for (mainly) adults in Scotland, Portugal, Austria, Slovenia and Serbia.

In participant’s words:

* Katarina’s lullaby workshop was really moving, and it has stayed with me for weeks afterwards. It was both a personal and collective opportunity to explore the power and truth women’s voices and bodies know, but are so often repressed. An invigorating, memorable and inspiring experience. (Lizzie)

* I would come away feeling invigorated, refreshed, revitalised, empowered, encouraged, inspired...the experience was a huge boost at a time when I needed it. (Becky)

* Here’s the thing: My cells shifted. … It was beautiful. (Karine)

* Thank you for helping me accepting my voice. You have an incredible ability to awake our potentials. (Bernarda)

The workshop will take place on the 28th September 2019 @Salisbury Centre's Art Room and will last for 7 hours (incl. 45’ lunch-break), from 10am-5pm.

Bring comfortable clothes, a yoga mat + something to eat and drink (lunch not provided).

Fee: £40 (incl. workshop material). £15 to be paid on booking (nonrefundable) ...so yes, the fee above - under "price" - works as a deposit. Additional £25 to be paid a week prior to the workshop. Please email katarina.juvancic@gmail.com for details!

There are limited spaces for this workshop, so please do book early!
