About FILM: REACH FOR THE SKY (1956) + Q&A (Concessionary Admission)

This September marks the birthday of one of Britain’s most successfully stars, the BAFTA Award-winning actor Kenneth More CBE. To celebrate his life and work, The Cinema Museum offers a rare opportunity to see him on the big screen in his most iconic role, as real-life fighter pilot Douglas Bader in a 35mm film screening of the immortal British screen classic REACH FOR THE SKY (1956), starring Kenneth More, Muriel Pavlow and Lyndon Brook, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lewis Gilbert. This is the true story of airman Douglas Bader who overcame the loss of both legs in a 1931 flying accident to become a successful fighter pilot and wing leader during World War II.

To round-off the evening, an exclusive Q&A will follow, with a rare chance to hear from Kenny’s wife and Carry On star, actress and writer Angela Douglas. Also participating will be the Founder of Kenneth More’s official website, Nick Pourgourides, who also handles the Kenneth More Preservation Library, and will be sharing the stories behind some of the late actor’s most treasured possessions. A paid meet and greet book signing with Angela Douglas will also follow the event. Don’t miss this extra special, one-off event.

Concessionary Admission Ticket at reduced price. This means Under 16s; Over 60s; Students with ID and Unemployed with ID.
