About Film: Exploding Cinema 30 November
Exploding Cinema is back at the Cinema Museum showing a programme of independent shorts submitted from all over the world. Drama, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, weird and wonderful share the main screen, while the rest of the walls (and the ceiling) play host to the Exploding Cinema’s legendary eclectic psychedelic visuals projection show.
Running hot since 1991, entirely organised by volunteers and funded by revenue from their screenings, Exploding Cinema provides an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to have their works shown to an audience in the wonderful surroundings of the Cinema Museum. All films under 20 minutes long are shown, along with Q&As with attending filmmakers, a live performance and a free raffle. Over the last twenty eight years Exploding Cinema has become a mainstay of the independent film scene, showcasing exciting new works by both emerging and established filmmakers and artists.
Doors open at 18.00 for a 19.00 start.
Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
