About Miles Apart Together (£3 donation)
They said she couldn’t do it, but Annie, Bessie and Junko did. From globetrotting around the world on a bicycle to spectacular airshows to climbing earths highest mountains - these women fought the prejudice and scepticism that surrounded them in extraordinary way.
Their achievements became milestones in the path towards women’s rights and freedom, challenging the assumption that the “fairer sex” lacks the physical and mental stamina for big deeds. Their adventures were as breath-taking, spellbinding and phenomenal as their male counterparts, but where are their stories now?
In MILES APART TOGETHER the international artist collective PAPER SMOKERS present to you Annie "Londonderry" Kopchovsky, Bessie Coleman and Junko Tabei who can now finally step into the spotlight and take you on their incredible adventures across the globe.
