About Mindful Movements Strength and Softness
“Seek balance of the body and mind”
Join Linda and Stephen for an afternoon of exploring and building both strength and softness. The practice will incorporate dynamic movements coupled with intervals of rest where we find calm and stillness.
Often when we think of strength we think of physical strength and whilst this extended class will focus on physical strength it will also focus on our mental strength and resilience.
You will learn how to promote a sense of strength and warmth in the body through dynamic movement and notice the energetic effects this has on the body during periods of stillness and calm.
We will safely move our bodies drawing on Linda’s extensive Yoga experience and Stephens’s vast knowledge of Karate making this a session not to be missed.
Throughout the class we will move at a pace that is comfortable yet challenging for you and adopt various breathing techniques appropriate to the movements/stillness.
We will share some simple yet effective moving meditations that can be applied anytime in order to bring your mind back to the now and alleviate the symptoms of stress and anxiety.
