About The Magic of Trees #4 subsidised price

Into the new year with The Magic of Trees, our fourth journey into the seasonal life and cycles of the wondrous tree beings that offer us so much.

As we enter February and the traditional time of Imbolc in these isles we shall celebrate this moment halfway between winter solstice and spring equinox, before the new moment of life rising begins.

This day will span an overview of woodland management, both at the Tree Nursery and across the road in Wick Woods, where we will do some winter tree ID and harvest hazel wands.

The afternoon will move us into crafting with hazel and willow - weaving, making a St Brigid's Cross and introducing other simple techniques.

There will be fire, learning, poetry and joyful connection with the trees in this silent moment before they burst into bud once more.

Facilitated by Ida Fabrizio, grower & nature connection maker, Russell Miller of the Tree Musketeers and Annie Chipchase of the Tree Nursery. Great knowledge and skills to be shared here!

Day ticket includes full day session and warming winter lunch as well as tree teas and treats. Tickets are on two payment rates so that you can choose the rate you can best afford. All surplus proceeds after reimbursing facilitators and materials go towards supporting the work of Hackney Tree Nursery.
