About John Leopold Denman - Forgotten Brighton Architect
The Friends of Saint Michael's welcome Architect and Academic David Robson who will give an illustrated talk on John Leopold Denman. Denman was a Brighton-based architect whose career spanned the two World Wars and who built over 200 buildings across Sussex, including more than a dozen churches and a series of charming pubs. Denman was Vice-President of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a founding member and President of the Regency Society of Brighton and Hove.
David Robson has been tracking down and photographing his buildings and believes that his work merits wider recognition and a greater degree of protection.
Ticket price includes cheese and a glass of wine. Pay bar.
