About Errante presents Me & The Beasts

Dive into the world of Me&The Beasts (Yo y Las Bestias) at our first film screening on April 24th at Calthorpe Community Garden!

This debut feature tells the story of Andrés, an alternative Rock Band's singer-guitarist that starts a solo career, seeking inspiration as Venezuela's crisis roils, with the help of "The Beasts", two mysterious masked beings.

Directed by Venezuelan filmmaker Nico Manzano –who also wrote the film's songs and served as cinematographer– Me&The Beasts (2021) is an original, fantasy-tinged music drama that alternates between hazy pop dreams and crips indie realism, mirroring the personal and political, as a young musician faces both creative challenges and the complex reality of living in contemporary Venezuela.

Join us for an evening of film, food, and reflection as we explore the themes of creativity, resilience, and finding purpose in a context where youth are leaving or have already left the country.

Tickets include a Venezuelan snack provided by @EvaBaking, don't miss out on this surprise treat!
